In order to successfully apply for a UK Permitted Paid Engagement Visitor visa, applicants must meet the following key requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age;
• Must not live in the UK for extended periods through frequent or successive visits, or make the UK their main home;
• Must be a genuine visitor seeking entry or stay for a purpose that is permitted;
• Must not undertake any prohibited activities;
• Must be able to support themselves during their trip (or have funding from someone else to support them);
• Must be able to pay for their return or onward journey (or have funding from someone else to pay for their journey).
• Must have been formally invited by a UK-based organisation to attend a pre-arranged event or other permitted engagement;
• The event or engagement relates directly to the applicant’s expertise, qualifications and main job in their home country; and
• Must be visiting the UK for no more than 1 month.

A Permitted Paid Engagement Visitor visa cannot be extended neither can a person with a Permitted Paid Engagement Visitor visa switch to another visa category. Applicants must leave the UK at the end of the 1-month period of stay permitted under this visa.
